Gelfand, President of TECHNO-DRY USA announces the company has achieved a major breakthrough in dry cleaning technology, the most significant design change for this industry in 40 years. Dry cleaning machines went from cartridge filters to spin disk filters, and some even need both to achieve a modicum of quality. Nearly all machines made are the same, and use this same antiquated technology. This type of cleaning of solvent is a compromise on quality at best, as well as a very costly endeavor. The machine incorporates a unique dual condensing distillation system, thus making distillation very affordable and simple, in addition to its totally self- cleaning filter. The machine utilizes the wasted energy of distillation to pre-heat the incoming previously used solvent, and the incoming cold soiled solvent is used to condense the vapors coming from the still. This unique dual heat exchange design reduces the energy costs of distillation to the minimum, as well as speed up the distillation process, without boilovers. Additionally, each garment is cleaned in pure distilled solvent every load, and with an addition of 2 oz. of cationic soap being injected, the dry cleaning quality has reached new highs previously thought unattainable in dry cleaning. Thus each load of cleaning is done with pure solvent, new soap not previously used, and with a new clean filter for each cycle. The hazardous waste contains the soil from the clothes. Even the soap is not distilled and lost because cationic soaps leave with the clothes. Other unique features of the TECHNO-DRY machine are the incorporation of high grade stainless steel in nearly the entire machine, even including the solvent storage tanks, return piping, and even the steam and water lines in and out. The TECHNO-DRY machine complies with U.L. 664 and is the only machine bearing the coveted MET LAB Listing.
